Big Changes!!!
After careful consideration, I have decided to rename my photography business from Sarah Ashley Photography to Sarah Schweyer Photography. For those of you who don't know, Ashley is my middle name and when I was originally naming my business I was in a serious relationship with the man who would become my husband. I thought I would save my future self the hassle of changing my business from my maiden name to my married name and decided to use my middle name. Yet, here we are, years later and making that exact change anyways. So yes, Schweyer is my married name.
A big part of this decision is that I know I need to establish my online presence as a photographer and create a real website, as opposed to a blogsite such as this. A big problem was that sarahashleyphotography.com as well as sarahashley.com are already established websites and I have actually been mistaken for them by my clients. Seeing as I would like to avoid that in the future, I have decided that a name change would have to be in order.
I am also excited to announce that I am in the process of creating a website which I am hoping to launch very soon!! Part of my website will include a reviews page. If we have had the pleasure of working together, I would greatly appreciate it if you could take the time to write a little something about your experience and email it to me. I am also moving my archives to my new Facebook page. Be sure to check it out as well as the giveaway I've got going!! One lucky FB fan will win a free session or 25% off a wedding package!!!
If you would like to keep up to date with my work, you can follow me on
Instagram @sarahschweyerphotography
and on Facebook at

I am really looking forward to these big changes and want to thank you for your continued support in this new adventure!!
XO

Kaley ~ Class of 2012
This session was very fun for me to shoot. I have known Kaley since she was a toddler and to see the beautiful young lady she has grown into is very special. I am so proud of her and her accomplishments! Not only is she graduating soon, she also has already completed beauty college and I believe has her cosmetology license. I know that she will succeed in whatever path she chooses to go.
Congratulations Kaley!

Happy Easter!
We have had a wonderful day celebrating Easter today! After church we went out to have a little photo shoot in our Easter best! Here is our favorite! I am going to add the lyrics to our favorite song right now to the right side of the photo. I love the idea of not only printing out memories and displaying them in out home as well as incorporating lyrics and texts that hold special meaning for us!
I hope you all had a wonderful day!

Photo Gifts
Give the gift of "you" to your loved ones this year! They will be so proud to show your picture to all their friends and family!
I loved photographing my grandpa and his new puppy as a Christmas surprise for my grandma. It brought a tear to her eye and I got almost as much thanks as my grandpa did!
I love you guys! xo

Favorite Photo of the Week: #7
Today I photographed a family that I shot last year. There is something special about doing annual family portraits! I loved seeing the children a little more grown up, a little more talkative and a little more comfortable in front of the camera. They are such a cute family and it was such a beautiful day! To me, thats one of the best combinations! Here's one of my favorites!XO ~ Sarah

Favorite Photo of the Week: #6
One of my favorite pastimes, esspecially during the holidays, is baking! My husband had never seen "It's A Wonderful Life," so I decided to bake some chocolate chip cookies and curl up on the couch for a Christmas classic paired with egg nog. Last year my brother gave me these Matryoshka nesting doll measuring cups and I love them!
What holiday traditions do you look forward to?

Favorite Photo of the Week: #5
I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving and are enjoying the holidays! For Thanksgiving, my husband and I went to his grandmother's house, which surprisingly I've never been to! I had a wonderful time and had the grand tour of the house and property. It was really nice to see my husband spend time with his brothers and hear them all reminisce about all the adventures they had there growing up. And of course I jumped at the opportunity to photograph them all together and was super excited to do so at a memorable spot from their childhood with them all grown up.
Lately, I've been drawn to non-traditional portraits! I love the idea of a beautiful photograph, a moment caught in time, with the subjects being captured in a way that you know who it is, but it's not your normal "look over here and smile" shots. Here is one of my favorites of the guys, even though they are walking away. Enjoy, xo Sarah
